Sodium Potassium Lithium Silicate has higher silica content compared to Lithium Silicate or Potassium Lithium Silicate (POLISI).
- Sodium content is a fraction of that in sodium silicate. Hence, it forms negligible white carbonate film - efflorescence - on exposure to atmosphere.
- The Lithium molecule in Na-POLISI quickly dissociates from the system, which disturbs the Silica - Alkali ratio. This catalyzes the formation of free Silicic Acid in the system. This results in faster densification / hardening / adhesion, which is not possible in usage of only potassium or sodium silicate
- It is much economical compared to Lithium silicate or POLISI - Potassium Lithium Silicate.
- Presence of larger atoms of Potassium and Sodium, results in faster buildup on the surface and reduced porosity, faster hardness and gloss on the surface. This makes it suitable for very porous surface.
- Treatment with Na-POLISI makes the surface resistant to water & various industrial chemicals.
- It is concentrated product. It is diluted 3 to 5 times with water depending on application.
- Used to manufacturing of Welding Rod.
