Dual densification by application of Lithium Hardener & Densifier for a high usage industrial floor
LH + LD

The Professional’s Secret: The "Dual-Stage" Finish

For the ultimate industrial/commercial floor, we recommend a Dual-Stage Densification process. By combining our Lithium hardener & Lithium Densifier technologies, you achieve a level of durability and shine that a single product cannot match.

The Science Behind the Two Steps

  1. Base Coat (Lithium Hardener ): Apply the CETEX LH first. Its dual-molecular structure acts as a "pore-filler," stabilizing the concrete matrix and strengthening older or more porous sections of the slab.
  2. The Final Polish (CETEX LD - Lithium Densifier): Once the base coat is dry, apply a final thin coat of CETEX LD (Pure Lithium Densifier).

WHY THIS DELIVERS A SUPERIOR FINISH

  • Micro-Sealing: The ultra-small Lithium molecules in CETEX LD penetrate any remaining micro-gaps that the larger hybrid molecules couldn't reach.
  • Enhanced Optical Clarity: The pure Lithium top-coat reacts to create a much tighter surface tension, which results in a higher Light Reflectivity Value (LRV).
  • Maximized Hardness: This "stacking" effect creates a diamond-hard surface that is virtually impenetrable to water, oils, and industrial chemicals.
  • Superior Aesthetics: This method is the "Gold Standard" for achieving a true mirror-like gloss in high-end showrooms and commercial spaces.

Spraying of LD on Surface

  • Clean the surface before application. If there is a coating on the surface, for example curing compound, oil, dust etc., it should be removed. Fill and repair all holes, cracks and deteriorated areas. For best result, the surface should be dry to touch to allow diluted LD penetrate the pores and react.

  • LD is concentrated material and can be diluted with 1-3 parts of soft water for every one part of LD. It can be applied on old or new clean surface by using a  low-pressure sprayer, roller or brush.

Polishing of Horizontal Surface

  • For horizontal surfaces, apply enough diluted LD to keep the surface wet for 20 minutes. If areas dry out before that, apply more diluted LD. In hot, dry or windy conditions dampen concrete before application to prevent flash drying.

  • Remove any dried powder residue using a stiff broom, power sweeper or floor scrubbing machine. For immediate, enhanced shine, buff or burnish the dry concrete surface in both directions using an orbital floor machine or burnisher equipped with an appropriate polishing pad. This is a dry buffing operation.

Application of LD on Vertical Surface

  • For vertical surfaces, apply from the bottom up. For maximum penetration and desired coverage rates, a wet-on-wet application is recommended; re-treat within three to five minutes after initial application. Repeated applications should be made until the surface remains moist for a minute or so before solution disappears.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at contact@xetex.in if you cannot find an answer to your question.

A: Yes. On new concrete, it is applied after the slab has cured. To fasten the process, CETEX FCD - Fast Curing & Densifier is applied which cures & hardens the concrete.  On old concrete, it rejuvenates the surface by reacting with any remaining free lime to stop dusting and increase hardness.

A: Since it is a concentrated formula, once diluted (1:3), 1 liter of concentrate can cover approximately 30 to 50 $m^2$, depending on the porosity and finish of the concrete.

A: No. Unlike sodium or potassium silicates, CETEX LD is a zero-rinse formula. It reacts completely within the pores, leaving no white residue (efflorescence) that needs to be scrubbed off.

A: Yes! CETEX LD is excellent for rejuvenating old, dusty floors by strengthening the remaining cement matrix.

A: As soon as the surface is dry to the touch (typically 2-4 hours). Use CETEX FCD -  Fast Curing & Densifier for better hardening and faster workmanship.

A: CETEX LD is clear and does not change the natural color of the concrete. It will, however, enhance the "sheen" or "gloss" once the surface is polished or buffed.

A: No. Because it penetrates into the concrete and not a topical film/coating, it does not change the slip-resistance of the concrete. It hardens the internal structure without leaving a slippery plastic film on top.

A: Lithium is chemically unique. While sodium silicates can worsen ASR (which causes concrete to expand and crack), Lithium actually helps stabilize the chemistry of the concrete, preventing internal expansive pressure.

A: We provide a concentrated solution to save our global clients significantly on shipping and logistics costs. It also reduces the storage footprint at the job site. You simply dilute it with clean water before use.

A: Yes. It is a water-based, non-flammable, and VOC-free (Volatile Organic Compound) product. It is safe for use in LEED-certified projects and food-grade facilities.
