CETEX LPD: Liquid Potassium Densifier

CETEX LPD is a concentrated potassium silicate-based chemical designed to permanently harden, dustproof, and densify a wide variety of cementitious surfaces. By penetrating deep into the concrete matrix, it reacts with free calcium hydroxide to fill pores from within, creating a breathable yet impenetrable surface.

Professional Application Protocol

Surface Preparation

The substrate must be clean and structurally sound. Remove all existing coatings, curing compounds, or oils. Repair cracks and holes. For maximum reaction, the surface should be dry to allow the LPD to "wick" into the pores.

Dilution & Application

  • Dilution: Mix CETEX LPD with water in a 1:3 ratio.
  • Method: Apply using a low-pressure sprayer or spread evenly with a soft-bristled broom.

Horizontal Surfaces

Keep the surface wet with diluted LPD for at least 20 minutes. In hot or windy conditions, pre-dampen the concrete to prevent "flash drying." Once dry, remove any powder residue with a stiff broom or scrubber.

Pro Tip: For an immediate mirror-like shine, dry-buff the surface with a high-speed burnisher and a polishing pad.

Vertical Surfaces

Apply from the bottom up using a "wet-on-wet" technique. Re-apply within 3–5 minutes of the first coat. Continue until the surface stays moist for at least one minute before the solution is absorbed.

Traffic Ready

Restrict heavy usage for 12 hours to allow the chemical reaction to stabilize.
