A: Yes. On new concrete, it is applied after the slab has cured. To fasten the process, CETEX FCD - Fast Curing & Densifier is applied which cures & hardens the concrete. On old concrete, it rejuvenates the surface by reacting with any remaining free lime to stop dusting and increase hardness.
A: Since it is a concentrated formula, once diluted (1:3), 1 liter of concentrate can cover approximately 30 to 50 $m^2$, depending on the porosity and finish of the concrete.
A: No. Unlike sodium or potassium silicates, CETEX LD is a zero-rinse formula. It reacts completely within the pores, leaving no white residue (efflorescence) that needs to be scrubbed off.
A: Yes! CETEX LD is excellent for rejuvenating old, dusty floors by strengthening the remaining cement matrix.
A: As soon as the surface is dry to the touch (typically 2-4 hours). Use CETEX FCD - Fast Curing & Densifier for better hardening and faster workmanship.
A: CETEX LD is clear and does not change the natural color of the concrete. It will, however, enhance the "sheen" or "gloss" once the surface is polished or buffed.
A: No. Because it penetrates into the concrete and not a topical film/coating, it does not change the slip-resistance of the concrete. It hardens the internal structure without leaving a slippery plastic film on top.
A: Lithium is chemically unique. While sodium silicates can worsen ASR (which causes concrete to expand and crack), Lithium actually helps stabilize the chemistry of the concrete, preventing internal expansive pressure.
A: We provide a concentrated solution to save our global clients significantly on shipping and logistics costs. It also reduces the storage footprint at the job site. You simply dilute it with clean water before use.
A: Yes. It is a water-based, non-flammable, and VOC-free (Volatile Organic Compound) product. It is safe for use in LEED-certified projects and food-grade facilities.
